Household Topics

A well-prepared worship prayer could be a wonderful experience if there is an allotted time to practice the songs. Preparation i.e. Holy Cross, Bible,  Candle, etc. should be handled by the Household Servant Couple.

The Worship Leader, the HH Servant, will gather and prepare  the household members to start the worship and inform them of the flow of the prayer that includes Bible readers.  The worship will always start with the sign of the cross. 

In this part, the HH Servant will use the 24/7 or LBS. To avoid monotony, the HH servant can let each individual read a paragraph or read the content of each Bible verse that is mentioned in the guide. This can be interactive also by inferring each paragraph. 

1. GRAB – This part introduces the topic in a creative manner. It is a light and interactive question that requires just a top-of-mind answer.
2. GRACE – This is the main part of the household topic. It contains the anchor text from the Bible and a text that expounds the verse and the topic. It, therefore, important to teach and encourage your members to bring their own Bibles during your household meeting.
3. GATHER – This is the part where the household members share their realizations and learnings from the household topic. The household servants process the sharings after all have taken their turn.
4. GO FORTH – After discussing everyone’s thoughts and realizations, challenge your members to apply their learning from the household to their lives. The Household Servant should check if they have done the challenge in the following meeting.

After the sharing, the HH servant will inform the members of the upcoming events of their HH, e.g. next HH meeting, picnic, bowling, etc. At this point, he will encourage also the members to participate in all the activities of the Unit, Chapter, and Area. 

The HH servant will wrap up the meeting with a closing prayer and if the meal is to have partaken then a prayer for the meat will be pronounced also.
